American Cylindrical Roller Bearings are manufactured from AISI bearing steels that are suitable to a maximum temperature of 175C (350F). Cylindrical roller bearings are made with zero, one, two, or more flanges depending on intended use. Snap rings can be used to function as a flange to hold a bearing together, but are not capable of taking thrust.

Dalton offers Bower cylindrical roller bearings that are designed for heavy radial loads and can also be used for light thrust loads with speed capabilities comparable to ball bearings. NTN-Bower’s case carburized ISO E-Types offer 1.4 times the life of conventional E-Types. Machined brass cages are used for high speed applications. Super precision double-row bearings are also available with close tolerances, sized from 0.7874" (20 mm) inside diameter to 22.8346" (580 mm) outside diameter.

NTN cylindrical roller bearings, Series N, NF, NJ, NN30, and NU, are designed for heavy radial loads. They can also tolerate light or intermittent thrust loads. Their speed capabilities are comparable to ball bearings. For high speed applications, machined brass cages are used.

PSL's single row cylindrical roller bearings are suited for heavy radial loads operating under high speed, and are separable. They are manufactured in several basic designs, including axially firm (NUP, NH) - which can carry a certain axial load in both directions; axially loose (NU) - which allows the mutual displacement of the rings in both directions; and in the design (NJ, NUJ) - which carries the axial load in one direction.

Ritbearing cylindrical roller bearings come in several variations of designs to allow for differing applications. They are available in either single or double row. Series Numbers available include N, NU, NJ, NUP, RN, RNU, NCF18xx.V, NCF22xx.V, NCF29xx.V, NCF30xx.V, NJG23xx.V, NNC48xx.V, NNC49xx.V, NNCF50xx.V, NNF50xx.A.2LSV/ NNF1xx & 2xx.A.2LS.V, 81100, and 81200.

The SNR cylindrical roller Series includes variants to permit accurate bearing selection to improve machine efficiency. SNR's optimized contact between roller and raceway reduces internal loads. Their cylindrical roller bearing range is manufactured for high radial loads and high rotating speeds. Axial loads must remain low.

Timken manufactures cylindrical roller bearings that provide higher radial load capacity compared to other roller bearing types. Timken product offerings include one-row cylindrical roller bearings (available in six primary designs), two-row cylindrical roller bearings (for higher radial capacity over traditional one-row types), four-row cylindrical roller bearings (for extremely high radial load capacity, but no thrust capacity), and automotive repair bearings (designed to replace the original bearings and seals on axles). Timken also manufactures their line of Fafnir ball, angular contact and ceramic bearings.

ZVL-ZKL offers single row cylindrical roller bearings, engineered to service applications with demands for handling high dynamic and static loads and greater torsional momentum. They also manufacture tapered bore cylindrical bearings.
