PSL's single row cylindrical roller bearings are suited for heavy radial loads operating under high speed, and are separable. They are manufactured in several basic designs, including axially firm (NUP, NH) - which can carry a certain axial load in both directions; axially loose (NU) - which allows the mutual displacement of the rings in both directions; and in the design (NJ, NUJ) - which carries the axial load in one direction.

Timken manufactures cylindrical roller bearings that provide higher radial load capacity compared to other roller bearing types. Timken product offerings include one-row cylindrical roller bearings (available in six primary designs), two-row cylindrical roller bearings (for higher radial capacity over traditional one-row types), four-row cylindrical roller bearings (for extremely high radial load capacity, but no thrust capacity), and automotive repair bearings (designed to replace the original bearings and seals on axles). Timken also manufactures their line of Fafnir ball, angular contact and ceramic bearings.
