Journal Bearings

RBC Aerospace Bearings offers a full line of Mil Spec standard lined journal bearings, unlined bushings, and many specialty and custom designed products to support the aerospace industry. The journals are designed in a straight (plain) configuration with a flange to accommodate a combination of radial and axial loads with corrosion resistant materials and coatings. They are also offered in high temperature and water resistant series.

Kingsbury designs and manufactures many sizes and styles of hydrodynamic journal bearings. All bearings are engineered to customer specifications. Kingsbury’s hydrodynamic journal bearings are available in plain fixed profile styles or tilt-pad designs, and operate with flooded lubrication or directed lubrication systems.

Rotating Machinery Technology manufactures tilting pad journal bearings that feature precision ground and hand lapped spherical pivots, thin babbitted bronze pads, and oil inlet spray bars and open end seals for high load, high speed applications.

Waukesha Bearings offers a wide range of journal bearing designs and material options, including lubrication arrangements from fully flooded to Pocket Feed and Directed Lubrication, as well as end seals as desired. Journal bearings can be designed to suit a wide range of operating parameters, based on the rotor-dynamics of the application.

Dodge - Baldor offers babbitted journal bearings that feature cast iron 2 or 4 bolt housings, a maximum load rating 150 psi, and maximum ambient temperature 130 degrees F. Available in solid, split, split angle, rigid, and plate type designs.

Shuster offers journal roller bearings available in an extensive range of sizes. Metric and Imperial designs in steel, bronze and cage types are available.
