Dodge E-Z Kleen pillow block ball bearings are stainless steel housed available in inch and metric sizes. SKF offers many types of pillow block housings. Their SAF pillow (plummer) block housings are the SKF standard for inch shafts. These housings are horizontally split and designed for heavy duty operation. They come with a large choice of seals. SKF also offers the SDAF pillow block housings for inch size shafts and heavy thrust loads. These split housings can be used for spherical roller bearings. Givens Engineering is the manufacturer of the STD-BB ("Bearing Block") square type series of mounted bearings. These leverage the benefits of both pillow block and slewing bearings. Each bearing block features an integral shaft which is supported by a pair of sealed roller bearings. Each roller bearing is pressed into a lightweight aluminum housing. A removable shaft collar allows the bearings to be serviced. Unlike pillow block or flange mount bearings, these bearing blocks are designed to simultaneously carry a large moment and an axial load.

They combine the light weight, clean lines, and dimensional consistency of sintered aluminum with the load carrying capability of needle roller bearings, teflon-bronze bearings, or SAE 840 bronze bearings.
