Aurora Bearing Co.

Aurora Bearing Company has been manufacturing rod end and spherical bearings since 1971. When Aurora began manufacturing bearings they offered 2-piece design CM/CW series rod ends known for their masterful engineering and manufacturing expertise. Aurora Bearing offers a complete line of standard rod end and spherical bearings. Aurora also designs and manufactures spherical bearings to meet a variety of applications that require custom engineered units or special materials.

    Aurora Bearing Co. manufactures a wide range of sleeve bearings produced to SAE-AS81934/1 (formally Mil-B-81934/1) and SAE-AS81934/2 (formally Mil-B-81934/2) requirements. These journal bearings, available in both the flanged and plain configurations, all feature Aurora’s proprietary AT 3200 liner system, qualified to AS81820. Bore sizes range from 1/4" (-04) through 2” (-32), and lengths from .156” through 3.00”.

    Aurora are producers of male and female rod end products in both inch and metric sizes. The Aurora Bearing product line includes over 20 different series of rod ends. Aurora has a standard catalog series bearing for every rod end need. Products range in bore size from 1/8 to 2 inch, with threads from 6-32 through 2”-12. Most feature steel raceway construction. Aurora rod end products are available with low carbon, high strength heat treated alloy steel, stainless steel, and aluminum bodies. Since 1971 Aurora has been a serious player in the aircraft market. Today Aurora Bearing Company are producers of standard and special spherical bearings, rod ends and bushings for aircraft manufacturers.

    Aurora Bearing Company is a manufacturer of spherical inch and metric bearings and rod ends. All of these bearing types are available in an Aerospace Series and a Mil Spec Series, as well as for the commercial and industrial markets. Aurora's spherical inch bearings provide ball-to-race conformity and race materials are low carbon, heat treated alloy, or stainless steel. A self lubricating PTFE to metal interface may be optionally specified. Aurora Bearing also produces three lines of metric spherical bearings. All feature one-piece steel raceways. Their rod ends come in inch or metric sizes as well, and feature steel raceway construction and a low friction, high wear resistance molded liner.

    Aurora Bearing Co. manufactures aerospace, commercial-industrial, and Mil-spec rod end bearings. The aerospace rod end bearings are available with bore sizes from .1900" to 1",  and threaded from 10-32 through 1-1/4" to 12". The commercial industrial rod end bearings are available in inch and metric sizes, with bore sizes from 1/8" to 2" or 3mm to 30mm. The Mil-spec rod end bearings are approved to SAE-AS81935 specifications.
