  CMT specializes in babbitt bearings for all heavy industrial machinery. They can provide centrifugal casting of all sizes of babbitted bearings and static cast, metalizing or TIG welding processes. Babbitt repair is available. The repair process begins with the bearing shells melted and baked out to remove the original babbitt and oil. In-house manufacturing of new shells, new labyrinth seals, tilting pads and oil seal wipers finish the restoration process. ASTM B23-49 Grade 2 tin-based metals are used.
