  Waukesha Bearings produces fluid film bearings - also known as hydrodynamic bearings - including thrust (axial) and journal (radial) types in vertical and horizontal assemblies. The tilting pad thrust bearings are used for high-load, high-speed applications, and are available in sizes from 1.25" to 60". The journal bearings are one inch to more than 20 inches in diameter, and available in a variety of fixed profile (sleeve) and tilting pad configurations.

  Waukesha Bearings is a manufacturer of a wide range of journal bearing  designs, including lubrication arrangements from fully flooded to pocket feed and Ddirected lubrication. Journals come in sleeve or tilting pad types, and are used for radial loads. Fixed profile bearings are manufactured in both journal and thrust configurations, with options such as combination bearings with thrust faces on each end of journal bearing. Waukesha offers three types of thrust bearings that are frequently used in conjunction with journals. These come with available self equalizing options. Also manufactured by Waukesha is a combination thrust bearing and journal bearing in a self contained unit. Advanced materials such as polymer linings can be bonded to steel journal or thrust pads.

  Waukesha Bearings feature magnetic bearings feature connective capabilities integrated for use with digital controllers for remote monitoring and diagnostics. Waukesha magnetic bearings are lubrication-free and are designed for remote, unmanned and environmentally sensitive locations, such as onshore/offshore/subsea oil rigs, nuclear generators and petroleum/chemical processing plants.

  Waukesha Bearings Corporation offer three types of thrust bearing. The flat land thrust plate or washer can carry loads in the order of .34MPa (50 psi) and is often used mainly for axial loads. Taper-Land bearings can increase the specific load capacity to 1.72 MPa (250 psi).Tilting pad thrust bearings has the highest loading capacity at about 4 MPa (580 psi); it has steel pads with a symmetrically positioned support pivot. Waukesha Bearings also offers variations such as self-equalizing and non-equalizing products as well as varying lubrication that are fully flooded to Pocket Feed® and Directed Lubrication.
